Soora is an online platform by the Samir
Kassir Foundation that connects the world with powerful, licensed images and
videos from photojournalists in Lebanon. By using Soora, you gain access to
exceptional visual content while directly supporting the people behind the
lens.
Who can use Soora?
Anyone aged 18 or older can do so. Whether
you are a journalist, designer, business owner, or creative professional, you
will find unique, high-quality visuals for your projects.
What types of licenses are available?
We offer five flexible license options to suit different needs:
What does “royalty-free” mean?
It means you pay once and can use the image
multiple times without extra fees, as long as you respect the terms of your
chosen license.
Can I use licensed images for any purpose?
No. Each license has clear guidelines and
usage restrictions. Content may not be used in defamatory, obscene, or unlawful
contexts.
How do I purchase a license?
Simply choose your image, select a license
type, and pay by credit card. It is a quick and straightforward process.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. Save with multi-license packs, ideal
for regular use. Credits usually remain valid for one year.
What payment methods do you accept?
Currently, we accept credit card payments
only.
Do I need to credit the photographer?
Yes. For editorial and public uses, please
include a credit such as “© Soora.”
What about AI-generated content?
Should an image contain AI-generated or
AI-modified elements, an additional disclaimer may be required to ensure
transparency.
Can I edit licensed images?
Minor edits are allowed for most licenses,
provided they do not misrepresent the content or harm the photographer’s
reputation.
Is Soora legally compliant?
Yes. We fully comply with Lebanese laws,
including those on Electronic Transactions, Intellectual Property, and Consumer
Protection.
